Marriage has had a positive effect on the character of Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming. In fact, it is through marriage that he learned how to apologize, the actor revealed during a press conference in Shanghai on July 19.

Huang was present at the event for a local bridal photography company, which he is one of the investors, Jayne Stars reported.  

"The projects I invest in are done so with the mindset of a consumer" he revealed while chuckling.  He is confident that his new investment will work, given the success of his previous investments.

"I hope that all my projects will help bring more convenience in the everyday lives of people," he said, according to QQ.

As the press con progressed, the topic of Huang's marriage to Angelababy was brought up.

"Earlier I saw a clip online about a father getting his son to apologize for no reason," he said. He sent Baby the clip. "'Isn't this what you usually do?'  There, I've learned how important it is to apologize," he said, narrating Angelbaby's reaction to his gesture. He went on to say that one of the secrets to a lasting marriage is always saying sorry to your other half. 

The 38-year-old actor, who tied the knot with Angelababy in 2015, also shared their usual routine. "Baby and I are always busy so we rarely meet," he said, as Baby usually stays out of town for a couple of months when filming a movie. Then, if Baby's done with work, it's his turn to be busy, so they can rarely spend more time together. However, he said that he always "try to work in the same city as her, or in Shanghai, which is her hometown," he said.  "If we can't meet up, we'd keep in contact through messages or phone," he explained. The couple has even set up a "Family chat," which includes him and Baby, as well as Huang's parents. They use it as a platform to share their thoughts for the day and the interesting things they have encountered. "All in all, use your heart in your marriage," Huang advised.
