Shaanxi Xinda Wolves Beat Guangxi Weizhuang Rhinos, Finishes Regular Season as the No. 1 Chinese NBL Team

The league leading team of Shaanxi Xinda Wolves maintained their grip on the top of the team standing after defeating the sixth-ranked Guangxi Weizhuang Rhinos with a 118-112 victory in the 26th round of the Chinese National Basketball League (NBL) on Wednesday.
With the win, the Wolves now have the NBL's best win-loss record of 24-2. The Zhengxiu Jiang-headed basketball team remains the No. 1 club in the league for the regular season. Shaanxi is on a remarkable eight-game winning streak.

According to Asia-Basket, ex- Marshall University Thundering Herd player Tyler Wilkerson finished the game with an outstanding double-double production of team-high 43 points and 15 rebounds along with seven steals, three blocked shots, and two assists in 48 minutes of playing.
Former Clemson University Tigers player James Mays also had a double-double performance of 37 markers and 14 boards for the winners. Shaanxi's foreign basketball reinforcement went for a combined 34 for 47 from the two-point range and 6 for 12 from the free throw line.
Domestic players Xiaohang Yu and Xiang Liqing contributed a combined 25 points for Shaanxi, who ended the regular season of the Chinese professional minor basketball league on a high note.
According to NowGoal, the Rhinos entered the second half of the game with a slim one-point lead 48-47. However, the winning team staged a 34-19 run in the third quarter to carry a 15-point advantage 81-66 into the final twelve minutes of the match.
In the final period of the game, Guangxi tried to make a comeback, outscoring the Wolves with a 45-37 run. But it was not enough to steal the victory.
