Chinese Super League 2016: Shanghai Shenhua vs Jiangsu Suning, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

(Photo : Getty Images) Jiangsu Suning will face Shanghai Shenhua at the Hongkou Football Stadium on Saturday in a 2016 Chinese Super League season game.

A high-profile match between two of the top five squads in the 2016 Chinese Super League season, Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC (8-5-7, 31 points) and Jiangsu Suning FC (11-4-5, 38 points), is scheduled on July 30, Saturday at the Hongkou Football Stadium.

Shanghai is still without the services of top striker Demba Ba, who is ruled out of the season after suffering a serious leg fracture during the team's derby win over SIPG three matchdays ago. They are currently at the fifth spot of the league table, only two points behind third and fourth-placed squads SIPG and Hebei China Fortune.

Shenhua nipped a Graziano Pellè-led Shandong Luneng squad, 1-0, on the road at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium on Sunday to win their second game in three matches, via Shanghai Daily.

Colombian winger Giovanni Moreno, the Flower of Shanghai's team captain, provided the lone goal of the contest at the 32nd minute off an assist by compatriot Fredy Guarin.

Meanwhile, Jiangsu Suning held firm their hold to the second spot in the overall standings by winning their second straight game, thrashing struggling contenders Henan Jianye, 4-1, at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre also on Sunday, Xinhuanet reported.

Head coach Choi Yong-soo's squad scored the first four goals of the contest after the restart, courtesy of Alex Teixeira, Hong Jeong-Ho, Roger Martinez, and Ji Xiang at the 50th, 62nd, 68th, and 76th minutes respectively, before the Red Devils were able to respond via a goal from Zhong Jinbao with 11 minutes left before full time.

With the win, Jiangsu cut the lead of first-placed squad Guangzhou Evergrande to only seven points with 10 more games to go in their current campaign.

The predicted result is a 3-1 romp for Jiangsu Suning.
