Coolpad to Launch a Selfie Smartphone in India on August 10

Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad is set to unveil a new selfie smartphone in India on August 10.
An invitation to the event has been posted on Coolpad's official website. The teaser invitation says that "Believe in your #Selfie." The invite suggests that the company is planning to debut a selfie-centric handsets, which is currently trending in the Indian smartphone market.

Coolpad recently launched its latest device - the Coolpad Sky 3 smartphone - in India. The smartphone features an 8-megapixel front facing camera that supports 83-degrees wide angle lens and f/2.2 aperture. It comes with an 8-megapixel main camera that has a F/2.0 aperture and LED flash light support. Both the cameras of the smartphone have collage, GIF, HDR, and an HD video recording features.
In addition, the Coolpad Sky 3 smartphone sport a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS LCD. The device is powered by a quad-core processor (64-bit MediaTek MT67355P) clocked at a speed of 1 GHz. It comes with 2 GB of RAM onboard and has a built-in 6GB internal memory storage, which can further be expanded up to 128GB via a micro SD card slot. It runs on the Android Marshmallow operating system out of the box and is packed with a 2500 mAh capacity battery inside.
The connectivity options of the device include 4G LTE, GPS, A-GPS, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, and 3.5 mm audio jack. The Coolpad Sky 3 is currently priced at Rs. 12,000 (approximately $179.94) and is available in white and gold color.
