Based on the latest set of specs, it appears that the Homtom HT17 Pro will be an upgraded version of the original model. The new Pro model has a handful of new upgrades including memory, and storage space.

The Homtom HT17 Pro, just like the original model, is still equipped with the MediaTek MT6737 chipset with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.1GHz. The original HT17 has a 1GB memory, and there are talks around the tech community that the Pro model will have at least 2GB of memory. So far, the only major upgrade of the Pro model is its expanded storage space which is believed to be 16GB instead of the original 8GB, according to Giz China. The storage space is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.

It is still unknown whether Homtom will make any significant changes to the aesthetics and design of the new HT17 Pro. There are speculations that aside from the upgraded storage space and memory, everything will remain that same.

If these rumors are true, the Homtom HT17 Pro will retain the 5.5-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 resolution. According to Gear Best, hardware features like dual SIM support, fingerprint scanner, 4G network capability, Bluetooth, and the 3,000mAh battery pack with fast charging technology will most likely remain unchanged.

The HT17 Pro will still be equipped with a 13-megapixel rear facing sensor and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. The Homtom HT17 Pro will run on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Homtom said that it would add new features to the HT17 Pro, although the company did not provide any details. Homtom has said that these features will be announced before the official launch date of the device.
