We all fell in love with her song and dance numbers with her co-star Zac Efron in the High School Musical. Now, Vanessa Hudgens is hitting Broadway as she makes her debut on stage in the Broadway-bound revival of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Lowe's musical "Gigi." The show will open in Washington, D.C., and will make its way to Broadway early next year.

Hudgens is already preparing for this role with a twice-a-day vocal practice and memorizing her lines.
"I think, as an actor, the ultimate dream is to be on Broadway. I think it's the true test. There are no second takes. You've got to bring everything you've got for the most critical of audiences," she told reporters of News Days in a phone interview.
"It's an honor, if anything. I'm over the moon," she continued.
"Gigi," set in the late 19th century, is the tale of young, vibrant Parisian girl who was groomed to be a courtesan to a jaded but rich bachelor.
The pair ended up falling in love with each other.
The play was adapted from Colette's novel and was first performed on stage by Audrey Hepburn in 1951.
A movie musical was also produced, starring Leslie Caron. In 1973, Karin Wolfe starred in its stage musical, although the show only lasted 100 performances.
Audience will definitely love the familiar tunes of "Thank Heaven For Little Girls," ''I Remember It Well" and "The Night They Invented Champagne."
Hudgens said they are definitely "an absolutely electric musical number."
Also included in the musical score were some pieces from the 1973 show, including "Paris is Paris Again" and "I Never Want to Go Home Again."
Hudgens, 25, shoot to stardom with her role as Gabriella, Zac Efron's love interest, in Disney's High School Musical movies.
"Gigi," to directed by Eric Schaeffer and choreographed Joshua Bergasse, by will open at the Kennedy Center from Jan. 16 and is bound to Broadway, with the exact date to be announced later.
