Cellar-dwelling team Changchun Yatai FC (4-12-4, 16 points) will try to win a second consecutive game against mercurial powerhouse squad Jiangsu Suning FC (11-5-5, 38 points) in a 2016 Chinese Super League season match scheduled on Sunday, August 14 at the Development Area Stadium in Changchun.

The two clubs are at opposite ends of the current league table, but they have gone through unexpected performances in their separate previous matches.

Changchun, who is presently at the bottom of the 16-team CSL table, pulled off a lopsided 3-0 victory over Chongqing Lifan FC also at their home field on July 31 to snap a four-game losing streak, Xinhuanet reported.

Newly-acquired Brazilian striker Bruno Meneghel netted the opening goal at the fourth minute before Bolivian import Marcelo Martins Moreno unleashed a double at the 10th and 67th minutes to complete the three-goal romp.

However, the win failed to take head coach Lee Jang-soo's squad out of the cellar as they are still three points behind closest rival Shijiazhuang Ever Bright in the bottom two relegation area.

Meanwhile, Jiangsu Suning dropped a disappointing 2-3 decision to Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC at the Hongkou Stadium on July 30 to snap a two-game winning run, as per SkySports.

Newly-signed striker Roger Martinez scored a brace at the 21st and 42nd minutes, but it was not enough to give the win to head coach Choi Yong-soo's side as Shenhua was able to net three goals, two from Martinez's countryman Fredy Guarin and one from Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins, to snatch away the win.

Jiangsu remained at the second spot despite the loss, but the gap between them and league leaders Guangzhou Evergrande is now 11 points with nine games remaining in their current campaign.

The predicted result is a 3-0 rout for Jiangsu Suning.
