A lot of users of the Xiaomi Mi Max in India have complained that the device has WiFi connectivity problems.

The Xiaomi Mi Max was launched in India in July and has been experiencing Wi-Fi connectivity problems despite the fact that the phone indicates that the WiFi details are saved and connected. Various options, such as performing a factory reset, resetting the Wi-Fi, restarting the router, updating the software, and changing the bands, have all failed to resolve the problem.

Earlier this week, the Chinese tech firm has announced that its engineers have figured out the problem, and they are releasing an over-the-air (OTA) update to fix it, Android Community reported.

“Some Mi Max users have highlighted Wi-Fi connectivity problems on their devices over the weekend. Our engineers have identified what was causing the issues and have immediately worked on a solution to fix this yesterday. We’re releasing an OTA update today which will rectify Wi-Fi connectivity problems for affected Mi Max users,” Xiaomi's official statement said.

The latest OTA update is 1.3MB only, according to Android Authority.

The update is being rolled out immediately, and users should be able to see the notification soon. Users can also manually search for the OTA update by heading over to Tools>Updater>Check for updates.
