As Americans battle over passenger planes' reclining seat, Chinese passengers fight about bus seats.

In the United States, several reports of diverted or delayed flights have appeared that were later found out to be caused by arguments among passengers about seat recliners.
Meanwhile, in China's Wuhan, the footage showing a young fellow of sitting on the yellow area and was later beaten by elderly people on a bus have become viral.
According to a BBC report, passengers seated on the yellow area are expected to give up the seat should a pregnant woman, an elderly or a differently-abled person boards the bus.
This is a custom most young passengers seem to neglect.
However, in the video uploaded over NetEase, a famous Chinese web portal, showed an elderly man screaming at the young fellow to vacate the seat for another elderly man standing on the bus.
After the youngster declines the request and shouts back, the elderly man pushed and beat him several times.
After police have dispersed the scene, no arrests have been made.
The video which was taken on September 4 garnered over 160,000 views and mixed opinions from netizens all over the country.
A microblogger posted a comment citing that the elderly man could not have needed a seat since he had enough energy to "beat people up."
"Giving up your seat on public transport is a voluntary act. How can anybody use violent means to force others to give up their seats?" said another noting that though the young fellow was wrong not to give way, the elderly people were much 'worse.'
Similar incidents like the one caught on camera was not rare in China. However, because of the disproportion in its residents' generations due to the long-standing one-child policy, the elderly outnumber the youth by a huge margin.
