Recent rumors have emerged that out-of-place Shanghai SIPG striker Asamoah Gyan has agreed to join Turkish Süper Lig champions Besiktas JK this summer.

Goal reported that Gyan "is on his way out of China following weeks of frustrations after being sidelined due to injuries" and that the Black Eagles have "agreed to sign" the 30-year-old Ghana national team captain "on loan until the end of the season from Chinese side Shanghai SIPG".

The report mentioned that Gyan's recurring injury struggles in the China top flight outfit and the arrival of Chinese transfer record signing Hulk from Zenit Saint Petersburg this summer had seen him fall down "the pecking order" in head coach Sven-Goran Eriksson's Red Eagles crew.

Some accounts even said that he was demoted to SIPG's reserve team, but the Shanghai residents have since denied those stories saying that Gyan is still a part of Eriksson's first team.

Gyan's agent reportedly have already met with Besiktas president and chairman Fikret Orman during the recent weekend in Istanbul to negotiate the terms of the loan contract and the meeting is said to be fruitful.

Black Eagles team manager Senol Gunes is also "impressed" with the Ghanaian's availability and have guaranteed the striker of enough "playing time as they look to strengthen their attack ahead of the upcoming UEFA Champions League".

Initial reports said that English Premier League clubs Chelsea and West Ham United are also interested in snagging Gyan back to England, but no offers had come from both sides with the English transfer window closing at the end of the month.

Meanwhile, Ghana Soccernet indicated that Gyan is "happy in China" and is fit again to play for the Red Eagles despite the rumors of an impending Besiktas move.

At the moment, the rumors of Gyan's exit from the Shanghai Stadium are still rumors as there are no official statements yet coming either from SIPG or Besiktas.
