August 27^th, Guo Jingjing, retired Olympic diving champion, gave birth to her first baby boy with Huo Qigang on Tuesday.

At 12:24 p.m. on August 27^th, Huo Qigang posted a microblog, announcing the birth of his first baby with Guo Jingjing. "Dear friends, my son, who weighs 3.3 kilograms, was born this morning. Both Jingjing and the baby were doing well! We are very happy to see the successful birth of the baby boy. It also makes our families joyful!" said Huo Qigang in the microblog. Huo Qigang also thanked people for their blessing and concern. Huo Qigang indicated that he would "post pictures" soon.

Huo Qigang is the son of Hong Kong tycoon Huo Zhenting. His baby boy with Guo jingjing now becomes the first fourth-generation boy born in the wealthy Huo family.

In 2012, Guo jingjing and Huo Qigang hosted three big weddings in Hongkong and Guangzhou from November 8^th to November 11^th. The star-studded wedding, known as the "Century Wedding", attracted celebrities from political, business, sports and other circles.

Early in April, Hong Kong media first exposed Guo Jingjing's pregnancy. It was reported that Guo Jingjing's fuller figure and cautious demeanor at an event has sparked the baby speculation. In response to the news, Huo Zhenting, as Guo's father-in-law, bursted into laughter and tacitly confirmed the news. After that, Zhu Lingling, Huo Qigang's birth mother, confirmed that Guo Jingjing was pregnant. Since then, Huo Qigang no longer covered up the good news. Guo's photos during her pregnancy were then posted online.

It is reported that Guo Jingjing and Huo Qigang has long been preparing for the birth of their first child. Early in June, Hong Kong media exposed that Huo family gave the couple a house as a gift. The house, located near Huo Massion on Sassoon Road, is worth 200 million Hong Kong dollars. To welcome the baby, Guo Jingjing and Huo Qigang arranged the decoration of the new house and built facilities such as baby room and swimming pool.
