Leading sports brand Nike has stated that they are in the process of creating an airplane for team travel.
Nike has teamed up with the global design consultancy company, Teague, in order to come up with this state of the art aircraft, taking advantage of the latter's high-end aviation design and the former's sports technology and performance driven mindset.

The aircraft cabin will a capacity of about 100 to 400 passengers. Since teams really aren't that big, they plan on creating distinct zones that will cater to many different needs to athletes. These will be designed around athletic data and specifications observed by Nike.
Teague offers examples such as, a Recovery Zone that equalizes the negative effects of air travel on the mind and body. A training room is also brought to 40,000 feet through in-flight, accelerating the diagnosis and treatment of injuries.
There is also a Circulation Zone, that fosters the mobility of the players while ensuring optimal circulation and healing to the body.
A Sleep Zone is also included, which is designed specifically for creating ideal sleeping conditions and developing sleeping strategies for entire teams. They state that this will maximize the physical readiness of the team.
Finally, there is a Thinking Zone. This zone is a space for "key mental activities, especially film study." This allows players to view game footage before and after games.
The concept of this aircraft was done due to the idea of "home court advantage." Some people say it is a real phenomenon, some people say it is a myth.
However, studies have proven that this is only caused by the negative effects that travelling has on people.
While it is still in its conceptual stages, more and more teams will invest in this new technology that gives travelling teams the edge they need.
