Chinese environmentalists have declared Changzhou Foreign Language School to be safe for study. The institution was closed in April this year after students were diagnosed with a variety of illnesses late in 2015.
Investigators have concluded that the air, water, and soil in the school environment is safe from hazardous materials.

The three-month study, however, does not mention what might have caused the students to fall ill. Investigators added that thyroid nodule was not just found among the students but is slowly on the rise among the general public.
Early in the year, the institution was forced to close down after students began developing health problems such as dermatitis and leukemia. Nearly every five out of every six students who underwent medical check-up in the school reportedly had health issues.
The school was built in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, near a recently closed chemical factory. Reports suggesting that the company had regularly buried waste have been dismissed by school officials
The location had been tested by the Changzhou governing body in February and March. The results suggested that the environment was safe.
However, after a loud public outcry, officials were forced to employ a new team of investigators to research on the region.
There are speculations that the school was built against environmental regulators' standards. Chinese parents have been quick to blame the government failure to see that the construction of the school met environmental and health requirements.
