At 10 a.m. on August 20th, a villager found there was a coffin in the pool, so the villager reported to the police. When officer Wu Qiyuan rushed to the scene, he found the coffin had been damaged on purpose. What surprised the officer a lot was though the coffin had been abandoned for a few days, a pair of arms, which had been chopped off by the villager who dug them out, still remained supple and soft.
After investigation, villager Miao who damaged the ancient bodies was charged for insulting the dead bodies and violating the Chinese criminal law.
According to villager Miao, several days ago, he was laying the foundation for his new house. Suddenly, he found a coffin buried beneath the ground. He heard about the place was actually a graveyard for ancestors under the surname Yang who once lived in the village. After the police investigated some villagers whose surname is Yang, the place is a graveyard that belonged to their ancestors since Qing Dynasty. What's more, there has been around a hundred years since the coffin was buried here.
At 10 p.m. that night after finding the coffin, some relatives suggested villager Miao to uncover it, because there might be some precious funerary goods in there. However, they couldn't open the coffin even after making every effort. So they just broke the coffin violently. The scene was astonishing to every one standing by when a male incorrupt body appeared in the coffin. Beside the incorrupt body, there were some funerary goods. After grabbing those goods, villager Miao put the incorrupt body into a bag and threw it into a pool.
