China is currently poised to establish 15 national manufacturing innovation centers BY 2020.
This was revealed by the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Tuesday.
In a bid to further bring growth to its manufacturing sector, 40 national manufacturing innovation centers are being targeted to set-up by 2025.

These facilities are expected to give focus on information technology, intelligent manufacturing, new materials and biomedicine, as reported by Xinhua News Agency.
It can be noted that China's manufacturing sector has been given a boost following the adoption of the "Made in China 2025" plan in 2015. This initiative encapsulates the country's move towards the promotion of more value-added production rather than the low-end manufacturing activities.
In the meantime, China Post reported that a recent survey has indicated that business perception from the local manufacturing sector has improved.
According to Taiwan Institute of Economic Research (TIER), a survey has revealed that that manufacturing composite index for July this year has increased by 1.97 points to 98.63, a notable leap after showing a fall in June.
"The rise in the manufacturing composite index for July reflected the latest trade data in Taiwan, which showed exports picking for the first time in 18 months, ending the longest slump in the country's history," the report said.
TIER data further disclosed that Taiwan's outbound sales has reached US$24.12 billion, recording a growth of 1.2 percent compared to its performance in 2015.
Accordingly, this has put an end to the 17-month long decline in outbound sales.
