It's likely an unnatural natural phenomenon, but believers in UFOs and the supernatural contend this floating landmass they're calling "The Eye" in the jungles of Argentina might be an alien base that defies gravity or a miraculous representation of God on Earth.

First discovered by a film crew six months ago, The Eye is described as an island that's almost a perfect circle rotating on its own axis and hovering in the midst of a circular channel of water.
The channel has waters that are incredibly clear and cold, which is totally unusual in this area, said the locals. The channel is some 130 yards in diameter.
"We have discovered a mysterious island near the Parana river, which, intriguingly, moves and rotates on its own axis," said Richard Petroni, a hydraulic and civil engineer from New York who's involved in a project to raise funds on Kickstarter to further examine the site.
"It's something real and accounts for several supernatural stories bearing connections to UFOs and other paranormal aspects."
Some UFOlogists claim The Eye is the upper part of an alien base hiding in the waters beneath it. On the other hand, locals claim the unnatural island is a representation of God on Earth since it's a circle inside another circle.
The Eye can be found on Google Maps at coordinates 34°15'07.8'S 58°49'47.4'W
What's known about this "thing" is that both circles (the water and land) are so perfectly round it's hard to believe they're a natural formation. It's located in the Parana Delta between the cities of Campana and Zarate in Buenos Aires.
"We want to return with a complete scientific expedition having scuba gear, geologists, biologists, ufologists, specialized drones and more, and take samples of the water, soil, plants and all other objects we may find," said Sergio Neuspillerm, an Argentine film director and producer who made the discovery.
Neuspillerm, Petroni and others first reached The Eye on their second attempt after a hard trek lasting eight hours. They want to return, hence the need for funds via a Kickstarter campaign.
Neuspillerm described the place as amazing and extremely strange when they got there. On their third trip, the team hopes to investigate these bizarre claims to explain the mystery of this remote island once and for all.
They'll likely discover it's a regular island when they return.
