Others came up with their own version of Wang's statement, which goes: "That's one small step for Wang, but a giant leap for mankind."
Wang Jianlin, now considered China's richest man, was interviewed on a show that gave young people tips on how to become successful - and wealthy.
Aside from advising the young audience to plan ahead, he also showed off some of his famous drawings in his office, while also revealing what he likes to eat for lunch.
