WASHINGTON – The U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of the Treasury today announced that the fifth meeting of the U.S.-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue (S&ED) will be held in Washington, DC, during the week of July 8-12, 2013. Secretary of State John Kerry and Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew, as President Obama’s Special Representatives, will be joined for the Dialogue by their respective Chinese co-chairs, State Councilor Yang Jiechi and Vice Premier Wang Yang, along with members of the Chinese delegation and their U.S. colleagues.

Rainstorms said to be the worst in five decades have flooded large areas of southwest Sichuan Province in China, washing out bridges, triggering a landslide that buried dozens of people and destroying a memorial to victims of the earthquake that killed thousands in the same area five years ago. The state media said that heavy rains that began last weekend have killed more than 40 people across the country and disrupted the lives of 2 million.

July 8th, On the Shengli forest farm of Huanan Forestry Bureau in Heilongjiang , the staff are taking photos of the dead cattle which was killed by a wild Northeast tiger. Recently the Northeast tiger in Huanan Forestry region "played" with a homebred cattle and killed it then, and this is the fourth time the Northease tiger hunt the cattle.

On July 8th, 7:03pm, the Shanghai Police Station got a call, saying a travel bus on Lujiazui rotary island caught fire. And then the policemen, fireman and some other department members came to accident spot immediately. It's lucky that there was no passenger on the bus when the accident happened, and there was nobody got hurt. The fire was caused by the bus engine. Now the traffic in this area has got right already.
