Nineteen activists were reportedly arrested after demonstrating against Beijing's recent decision to censor the 2017 elections candidacy. The charges put against the protesters were illegal assembly and police obstruction.
Turkey Questions US Envoy Over NSA Spying

Turkey has summoned the U.S. charge d'affaires to explain the looming issue of the National Security Agency's surveillance on Turkey. Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc confirmed the summons, a day after Der Spiegel, reported on confidential documents released by the former NSA operative Edward Snowden.
