On Wednesday, a newly discovered dinosaur named Wendiceratops pinhornensis was unveiled in an report published in the PLOS ONE journal. According to the new study, the 79-million-year-old bones of four pickup truck-sized horned dinosaurs have been excavated in Alberta, Canada, which is considered as a hotbed of newly discovered ceratopsian dinosaurs. The fossils were discovered in 2011 by renowned fossil hunter Wendy Sloboda.

A new research project is about to launch a spacecraft into Earth’s low orbit to collect and dispose litters in space. The project is part of a cleanup drive on the increasing amount of space junk. The Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (EPFL) Center for Space Engineering’s CleanSpace Project has been working on the growing concern on how to safely track, collect and dispose satellites that have outlasted their usefulness but aren’t going to return to Earth at all. So in order to cleanup orbiting clutter, the team decided Monday to use the “Pac-Man” technique.

Astronomers recently discovered a sleeping black hole that has finally awakened after its 26-year nap. On June 15, an active black hole released a burst of X-rays that lit up astronomical observatories. It was identified as an “X-ray nova,” has projected a sudden increase in star luminosity that came from a binary system in the Cygnus constellation. The outburst from the two-body system called V404 Cygni, which is made up of a star slightly smaller than the sun that orbits a black hole 10 times its mass, was first captured by NASA’s Swift satellite and by a Japanese experiment on the International Space Station called Monitor of All-sky X-ray Image (MAXI).

However, more sightings were recently reported in Ocean, Cape May counties and Surf City, where more than two dozen jellyfish-like creatures were found on Saturday.
