NBA superstar Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder has traveled to the Far East for a three-city tour, making stops in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Taipei as the lead ambassador of the Jordan brand.
According to FootwearNews, the 27-year-old native of Long Beach, California hosted basketball clinics with young Chinese players and attended the official launch of the new edition of Air Jordan XXXI sneakers in Beijing.

The five-time NBA All-Star also appeared for two consecutive nights in the final of the China Empire League to discuss the importance of the brand's "Court Zero" attitude.
"If you love basketball, don't ever be scared of any difficulties," Westbrook said."Forget about everything and just focus on making breakthroughs, and that's the greatest charm of basketball."
Westbrook also spoke to the citizens of Hong Kong in a Jordan WINGS event that he attended at the Youth Outreach, Sai Wan Ho. The Oklahoma City Thunder star player also visited Taipei and went on to participate in the launch of the city's Jordan WINGS program.
The Far East, particularly China, has been a favorite product endorsement destination for many of the well-known brands in the world. This summer, sportswear giant Nike took 2014 NBA Most Valuable Player Kevin Durant of Golden State Warriors and NBA MVP winner Stephen Curry toured Asia to promote the Under Armour brand.
