Rwanda, which suffered a 0-3 (3-25, 8-25, 6-25) defeat at the hands of the Chinese squad on their debut game, recorded their second consecutive loss of the tournament after a 10-25, 19-25, 18-25 beatdown from Iran. The match lasted for a time of 60 minutes.
With the loss, the Rwandan team has lost all hopes of qualify from the group stage. The team will now focus on finishing in the best position possible in the playoffs.
The Rwandans, who are the sole African country to qualify for the international sitting volleyball tournament, would be meeting the United States on Wednesday. The Americans team is rated as the second best in the world.
Meanwhile, the Chinese women flaunted their superiority and outclassed the Americans to record their second straight triumph in the competition.
China is the No. 1 national team in the world rankings and the reigning and defending champions of the ongoing women's sitting volleyball tournament. The Asian powerhouse is keen to keep their title and further stretch their golden run in the Paralympics.
China successfully outlasted the challenge from the United States in five sets (25-14, 14-25, 14-25, 28-26, 15-13).
