In a battle of two lowly clubs, Liaoning Whowin FC blanked Hangzhou Greentown FC, 2-0, at the Tiexi New District Sports Center in Shenyang last Saturday as the 2016 Chinese Super League season slowly winds down to its last few rounds.
Following a goalless first 45 minutes of play, Liaoning opened the scoring three minutes after the restart with a goal from Zambian striker James Chamanga off an assist by Whowin attacking partner, Nigerian striker Anthony Ujah, via Soccerway.

The hosts then doubled their lead at the 77th as it was Ujah's turn to score a goal, but this time the assist came from another import, Congolese defender Assani Lukimya.
Hangzhou was not able to respond with any goal during the contest as head coach Ma Lin's men handed the visitors their second straight shutout match.
The win was Liaoning's first after three winless performances. It was also only the Northeast Tigers' second win in their last seven outings, which had them settling at the 11th spot of the current China top flight table with 29 points.
The team is tied on points with Yanbian Funde and Beijing Guoan, but they have the lowest goal difference with -5 as compare to the two team's +2 and +1 respectively.
It was the second consecutive winless game for Hangzhou and also their fifth winless try in their last seven games.
The loss put the Green Giants at 14th place in the overall standings with 26 points, six points above the bottom two relegation area currently held by Changchun Yatai and Shijiazhuang Ever Bright.
Meanwhile, the South China Morning Post indicated that a "vast majority of the goals in this year's Chinese Super League" were scored by foreigners and particularly cited this Liaoning-Hangzhou game as an example with Chamanga and Ujah netting one apiece. Even the assists were both pulled off by imports in Ujah and Lukimya.
The article said that the effects of the foreigners dominating scoring in the domestic league is showing at the international level as China PR struggles in their ongoing World Cup qualifying campaign.
