Great Britain continued to pound the Chinese squad in the second half of the match with another 14-7 charge in the third frame entering the final ten minutes of the game with a comfortable 23-point lead 49-26.
China won the final quarter with a 12-8 run, but it was not enough to steal the quarterfinal match from the Britons.
The Chinese national team had a difficult time making their shots. They went 16 for 58 from the field for a disappointing 28 percent shooting clip.
Helen Freeman led the British squad with 24 points while hitting 11 of the 22 attempts. British forward Amy Conroy added 16 points in 35 minutes of playing.
Chinese forward Lei Tianjiao paced the Asian giant with 13 points and Dai Jiameng added 10 markers.
The Great Britain team will be facing the United States in the final four for a berth in the championship round.
