China Downs Kazakhstan to Register Second-Straight Win in 2016 FIBA Asia Challenge

The Chinese men's national basketball squad successfully replicated their dominating opening game victory over Jordan as they demolished Kazakhstan in another lopsided triumph at the ongoing 2016 FIBA Asia Challenge in Tehran, Iran on Sunday.
The Chinese team, which is currently ranked No. 28 in the latest FIBA world rankings, kept their perfect record with a 106-85 win against Kazakhstan at the Twelve Thousand People Sports Hall. China finished the group stage on top of Group A.

The Philippine team would be the next assignment for China in the second round of the competition on Monday. Gilas Pilipinas remain winless after two games in the preliminary round of Group B against India and Chinese Taipei.
Hu Jinqiu, 18, led the Chinese squad against Kazakhstan with 19 points along with seven rebounds and two assists. The 6-foot-11-inches tall young center went on a remarkable 7 of 9 shooting from the field while converting 5 of 7 free throw shots in 22 minutes on the hardwood.
