Xiao Yi M1 Debuts; Mirrorless Camera with Removable Lens

Dubbed as the Xiao Yi M1, it is a full-fledged Micro 4/3 camera with removable lenses.

The Yi M1 is available in two color variants, black and gray. The camera sports a Sony Exmor IMX269 20-megapixel 4/3 CMS sensor. The camera's ISO support ranges from 100 all the way up to 25600.

The camera is capable of taking pictures with 5184 x 3888 resolution, which can be interpolated to 8160 x 6120 or 50-megapixel. As for its video capabilities, the camera can record 4K videos at 30 frames per second, and 1080p videos at 60 frames per second. The Yi M1 can also record lower resolution videos, although it is still not clear whether it will be at a higher frame rate, according to Giz China.

The Y1 M1 will feature a full touchscreen interface. It has a professional grade ISP image processor and a quad-core ARM CPU. Among the camera's features include HDR support, lossless RAW, distortion correction, and video electronic image stabilization. The camera does not have a built-in electronic view finder. Moreover, it also lacks a built-in flash, although this can be remedied by mounting one on the hot shoe.

The Yi M1's mechanical shutter comes from Japanese manufacturer COPAL, and its slowest shutter speed is clocked at the 60s, while its fastest one is clocked at 1/4000s.

Regarding its lenses, the camera comes with a standard 12-400mm with an F3.5-5.6 aperture. Owners of the camera can also purchase a 42.5mm F1.8 prime lest for portraits and macros.
