A new leak has revealed vital information about the specs, features, and release date of the Xiaomi Mi5S Plus.

The new Xiaomi phone will sport a bigger screen compared to the original model. The device was initially thought to be the Xiaomi Mi Note phablet, but recent rumors indicate that its will be the Xiaomi Mi5S Plus. The phone is expected to sport a bigger 5.7-inch display screen.

While the original Mi5S model sports the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset, there are speculations that a newer and more powerful Qualcomm chipset will be at the heart of the upcoming Mi5S Plus, according to Giz China.

Recently, a leaked photo believed to be that of the Xiaomi Mi5S Plus revealed one key feature that will set the device apart from its predecessor. The Mi5S Plus appears to sport an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner embedded on the phone's physical home button. The leaked photo also reveals a glossy black rear panel with a dual-LED flash setup along with its main camera. The camera placement is hauntingly similar to that of the current Mi5S model and the Mi Note.

Since the Xiaomi Mi5S Plus is tagged as a flagship smartphone, many analysts expect Xiaomi to go all out with its hardware specs. Based on the current trend of premium tiered smartphones, the Mi5S Plus is expected to be rolled out with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage space, an OIS feature for its camera, and possibly 2K display resolution.The Mi5S Plus is expected to hit the market before the end of the month.
