Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad has announced that its latest device - the Coolpad Roar Plus - is now available in Vietnam, while it will be offered for 2,299,000 VND (approximately $103 / 687.15 Yuan) on Coolpad's official website.

The Roar Plus smartphone is an entry-level device and the successor to last year's Coolpad Roar. The device directly competes with Swipe Elite Plus, Lenovo Vibe K5, Asus Zenfone Go, and Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime.

The Coolpad Roar Plus smartphone features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels resolution) IPS LCD screen that gives a pixel density of 294 PPI.

It is powered by a quad-core MediaTeK MT67359 processor clocked at a speed of 1.0 GHz coupled with Mali T720MP2 GPU for the graphics.

It has 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box along with CoolUI v8.0 laid on top.

The Coolpad Roar Plus smartphone sports an 8-megapixesl autofocus main camera with f/2.2 aperture, along with HDR, Panorama, Touch focus, Geo-tagging, Pro-Mode ISO, face detection, white balance and LED flash support features. On the front is a 2-megapixel camera for selfies.

The device is fueled by 2000 mAh capacity battery and comes with 8GB of internal memory storage, which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

The handset also boasts of LTE connectivity on both SIM slots, WLAN 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS with A-GPS. Proximity andLight and Acceleration sensors.

The Coolpad Roar Plus smartphone will be available in Black and White color options.
