Made Event will be teaming up with Kanjian, the leading music service provider in China, to promote the event. The organizer promised not only to showcase a lineup of world-class artists and performers but also to bring several highlights of New York's "Electric Zoo: Wild Island" to the country including its giant octopus stage and animal-themed costumer performers.

"Following the success of Electric Zoo New York 2016 we felt the perfect next move was to continue the expansion of the festival to new markets," Adam Richman, SVP of Made Event-New York and Director of Electric Zoo at SFX Entertainment, Inc., said.

"We couldn't have picked a more exciting market - Shanghai, or a better partner - Kanjian. Electric Zoo Countdown is the perfect introduction of our brand to China and will be the steppingstone to bigger editions of Electric Zoo throughout Asia."

"Electric Zoo: Countdown Shanghai," which is the first Electric Zoo production in China, will be held on Nov. 12, 2016 at the Expo Park in Shanghai, Business Wire reported.

According to Music Times, the "Electric Zoo: Countdown Shanghai" will only be a sneak peek of the first official Electric Zoo in China.

The announcement came on the heels of Electric Zoo's New York edition that happened on over the Labor Day Weekend on Randall's Islands. The biggest number of attendance the festival had was in 2013 with 83,000 revelers joining the three-day festive.
