The highly-praised Huawei Honor 5X is getting a well-deserved successor, and rumors have suggested that it is scheduled to debut in October.

A couple of weeks ago, a TENAA listing of the supposed Honor 6X was leaked and inadvertently revealed some information about the device.

Lately, rumors have been circulating around the tech community claiming that Huawei is scheduled to host an event on Oct. 18 in China. The exact details of the event were not yet disclosed. Several speculations claimed, though, that the Chinese tech giant is planning to launch the Honor 6X on the said event.

Not much is known about the Honor 6X, aside from tidbits of information from the TENAA leak.

According to GSM Arena, the Huawei Honor 6X is rumored to have a Snapdragon 625 chipset from Qualcomm. It was also surmised that it will come in two variants depending on its memory configuration. One model has 2GB of memory, while the other one has 3GB, but both models are expected to sport 32GB storage space which is expandable.

It is expected to sport a 5.5-inch display with 1080p resolution and an all-metal chassis with a dual camera configuration as well.

Probably the most interesting spec of the Honor 6X is its dual camera setup, which many believe will boast of impressive figures in terms of resolution. Just below the camera sensors is the fingerprint scanner.

If recent local reports were true, Huawei Honor 6X will already be available few weeks from now and will be slated for an exclusive release in China prior to making its way into the international market.
