An upcoming Vivo smartphone has been spotted on the website of China's telecommunication certification authority (TENAA). The new device was dubbed as the Vivo Y55A smartphone. The smartphone appears similar to the Vivo Y55.
As listed on TENAA, the upcoming Vivo Y55A smartphone will feature a metallic body appearance, similar to Xiaomi's popular Redmi 3s smartphone.

The TENAA listings also revealed the hardware specification of the new device. As per listing, the Vivo Y55A smartphone will feature a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels resolution) display screen. Under the hood, the device is powered by an unnamed octa-core processor clocked at a speed of 1.4 GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM onboard. On the software front, the device runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.
The Vivo Y55A smartphone comes with a built-in 16GB internal memory storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB via a dedicated microSD card. The smartphone sports an 8-megapixels primary shooter and a 5-megapixels front-facing selfie camera. The device is fueled by a 2,650mAh capacity battery inside.
Meanwhile, the Vivo Y55 smartphone was also spotted on TENAA certification earlier this week. As listed on the website, this new device could be available in three variants - Vivo Y55, Vivo Y55L, and Vivo Y55N. The listing also revealed that these smartphones would have the same set of specifications.
