NBA trade rumors linking the Los Angeles Lakers' upcoming sophomore point guard D'Angelo Russell to different teams this offseason aboud.

Russell, 20, was last summer's second overall pick and had been christened as the future of the Lakers' backcourt after superstar Kobe Bryant retired at the end of last season.

However, the off-court controversies he was involved in with teammate Nick Young earlier this summer made the former Ohio State standout is the subject of endless speculations in the NBA rumor mill this offseason.

One of the latest trade reports regarding Russell is a potential deal with the Milwaukee Bucks for out-of-place center Greg Monroe and small forward Jabari Parker.

Morning News USA speculated that the "Lakers could use a pair of tested front men" in Monroe and Parker. But that kind of a package in exchange for Russell "may not make a lot sense" as the NBA All-Rookie Second Teamer is deemed as one of the future pillars of the Hollywood franchise while the two big men are rumored to be outcasts.

Furthermore, the Lakers reportedly has the frontcourt that they want with Julius Randle, Larry Nance Jr. and Luol Deng. Timofey Mozgov is also a veteran center just like Monroe.

This just shows that the Lakers already has a better version of the young and experienced frontline combination of Monroe and Parker and so the said rumor will likely remain as only a rumor.

Meanwhile, another recent trade rumor involving Russell is a hypothetical blockbuster deal that would send him to the Philadelphia 76ers, Nerlens Noel to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Kevin Love to the Lakers.

Inquisitr reported the entire trade scenario, saying that LA will get Love and Philly big man Dario Saric, the Cavs snag Noel, combo guard Lou Williams and point guard Jose Calderon, while the Sixers end up with Russell and his controversial teammate Nick Young.

Again, this trade rumor is absurd in a lot of ways especially that it involves Russell and Young staying together as teammates after the repercussions between the two of them.

Philadelphia is also not expected to give up two of their most promising big men for the combustible duo of Russell and Young, so this NBA trade rumor is also highly unlikely to prosper.
