HP recently announced that it is updating some of its premium-tiered laptops, including the popular Spectre x360 and Envy 13 models.
The company said the two laptops will receive a larger battery pack and a handful of design updates.
While the new Spectre x360 will retain the feature that allows users to rotate the display behind its keyboard, it is expected that it will receive an overhaul which will reduce its footprint.

With its new edge-to-edge display, the new model will be a bit narrower in terms of design, making it 11.8mm narrower compared to its predecessor.
The Hp Spectre X360 will also sport a quad speaker array and a battery that can last up to 15 hours on a single charge. This represents a 25 percent battery life improvement compared to the current model.
HP said it is offering the new Spectre on a new configuration that will include the new seventh generation Intel i5 or i7 processors, up to 16GB of memory and up to 1TB of SSD choice. The new Spectre x360 will have an entry-level price of $1,159, according to The Verge.
On the other hand, the Envy will get a refreshed design cue, along with the latest Intel processor choices. It will boast of a new build made from aluminum and magnesium. Interested buyers can now choose between a Full HD or a Quad HD display, with the latter also fitted with touchscreen capabilities.
HP shared the new Envy model will come with a larger battery pack that can last up to 14 hours. Just like the new Spectre, the Envy is also available in configurations that include a seventh-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 chips, 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage space. The most basic model of the new Envy will cost $849.
