New NBA trade rumors claimed that Miami Heat could trade Goran Dragic to the Sacramento Kings for Rudy Gay as the two clubs continue their trade talks in the offseason.

Miami and Sacramento are reportedly still trying to negotiate a deal with only weeks before the opening of the 2016-2017 NBA regular season, although the specific players involved are not yet disclosed.

Dragic was mentioned in the rumor as he is the one most coveted by the Kings.

Sacramento wants to add depth to their backcourt after losing Rajon Rondo to the Chicago Bulls in the summer and adding the former NBA Most Improved Player awardee is a must for the Kings, Fansided reported.

The Heat lost two of their superstars this offseason when Dwyane Wade decided to join the Bulls in free-agency while Chris Bosh was allowed to find himself a new team that would allow him to play with his blood-clotting issues.

With rising star Hassan Whiteside now emerging as the new main man for Miami, speculations abound that the Heat is trying to find a legitimate superstar to get the team back into title contention.

Dragic is said to be their most valuable trade chip at the moment as interested teams will surely give them what they want in exchange for the Slovenian floor general.

Meanwhile, Gay is still on Sacramento's trading block as he had publicly admitted that he plans to leave the squad when he becomes a free agent next summer, according to SB Nation.

The 10-year veteran has been linked to different teams since the end of last season and no trades have yet to take place despite the rumors.

Gay told reporters earlier in the summer that he wants to join the Heat if there is an opportunity, and this may be his chance to reach his goal.

With Gay, Miami would get a veteran wing scorer much like what Wade had been providing them for the last 13 years, only at a less than elite level.

Still, it is a better option than none, while they go on full rebuild with Whiteside as the anchor.
