The images first surfaced on Chinese social networking site Weibo. Several forums and blogsites quickly shared them, which fired up speculations on what to expect from the device, as well as its release date and price.
Based on the leaked photographs, the ZTE Axon 7 Max has similar design cues with its predecessors, as it sports the same full metal body. One interesting addition, though, is the dual rear camera setup, a revolutionary camera configuration that has been picked up by several major smartphone manufacturers lately.
The Axon 7 Max is expected to hit the mid-tiered market range, according to GSM Arena.
The device has a 6-inch display with 1080p resolution, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, with 4GB memory and 64GB storage space.
It is also expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat, the latest Android mobile operating system, with ZTE's custom MiFavor 4.0 user interface on top.Meanwhile, the phone's fingerprint scanner is located just below the dual camera on the rear part..
Amid the absence of any official announcement about its release date, a number of people in the tech community believe that the ZTE Axon 7 Max will already hit the market before yearend, or early 2017, the latest.
