New York Knicks Medical Staff Monitoring NBA Star Derrick Rose’s Stress Level Following Court Trial

The three-time NBA All-Star Derrick Rose has been cleared and found not liable in a $21.5 million civil lawsuit accusing him and two of his friends of gang-raping a woman in August 2013, but the team's doctor is keeping an eye on the newest New York Knicks high-valued player for signs of trial "stress."

The 2011 NBA Most Valuable Player of the league along with Randall Hampton and Ryan Allen have been found innocent of the charges of sexual battery, battery, conspiracy, gender violence, trespassing, and emotional distress.
With a stressfull two-plus weeks that the well-known professional basketball player went through, a Knicks doctor expressed concern about Rose's stress levels following the court trial.
"The doctors and everybody said they were watching me close, just knowing that what I went through with the trial and everything," the 28-year-old veteran NBA point guard said in a report of the Daily News. "Hormones. Stress hormones and all that."
According to the New York Post, the native of Chicago, Illinois reportedly revealed that the New York Knicks' medical director Lisa Callahan had advised him not to overexert himself in the early beginning stages of his return to the hard wood.
He failed to participate in the final five preseason games of the Knicks and has not played since October 4. Rose, 28, played in one preseason game for Madison Square Garden-homed basketball team.
Rose, who was traded to the New York Knicks in June, was averaging 16.4 points, 4.7 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game during the 2015-16 NBA season when he was still playing for the Chicago Bulls. He is listed as 6 feet 3 inches tall (1.91 meters) and weighs 190 pounds (86 kilograms).
He is part of the men's national basketball squad of the United States that dominated and claimed the highest honor in the FIBA World Cup in 2010 and 2014.
New York Knicks' Rose is the league's top overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.
