The 29-year-old home crowd favorite is looking to get hold of back-to- back titles in his home soil, after winning the tournament's crown at the Shanghai Masters last month.
"I'm very happy with how I played today. Judd is a good player, we always have good matches when we play," Ding said after the match in quotes published on the official website of World Snooker.
"I will just keep trying to play my snooker whoever I play," the Chinese cueman added. "I will try to take my chances. I'm just happy to be in the final. I love to win any event I can in China."
This year, Ding has beaten both of his probable opponents in the tournament's finals. He defeated Bingham at the Six-Red World Championship while he won over Selby at the Shanghai Masters.
The native of Yixing, Jiangsu established a 6-0 lead in the early phase of the match but the incumbent world No. 3 Trump fought back and staged rally to cut the deficit to just three frames 7-4, according to Daily Mail.
However, Ding who was the first Asian player to reach the championship round of the World Championship this year, won the next two frames to seal the victory.
Ding's entry to the finals increased the chances of the Chinese star's bid to recapture the title he once held. He conquered the International Championship in the year 2013.
