Speculations of a possible Ben Simmons-Brandon Ingram swap is surfacing online as the Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Phoenix Suns are rumored to be discussing a three-team deal.

The details of the potential blockbuster trade are as follows: Simmons goes to the Lakers, Ingram, Dragan Bender and Brandon Knight to the Sixers, and Nerlens Noel, Lou Williams and Los Angeles' 2017 first-round pick to the Suns.

According to Inquisitr, the "NBA league office would approve" such a deal although the salaries of all the players involved are not "close to matching." This is because Philadelphia and Phoenix both have the salary cap spaces to absorb the wages of the players they are getting.

The Sixers receives $22.2 million in salaries with Ingram, Bender and Knight moving to their side. The Suns accepts $11.4 million for Noel and Williams while the Lakers take $5.9 million for Simmons, via the ESPN Trade Machine.

Of the three teams, Philly should get the most out of the hypothetical trade as its roster balance will be established with Knight suddenly solving their point guard woes. Ingram has great upside in the wings as proven by his debut game against the Houston Rockets, while Bender is another young big man with a lot of promise.

The Lakers unloads $12.3 million in salaries by letting go of Ingram and Williams, plus they take who was their first choice in last June's draft, which is Simmons. The Australian will become the versatile big man that the Hollywood team wanted when they acquired Luol Deng in the summer.

Pairing Ingram with Julius Randle and the young backcourt duo of D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson is a huge advantage for the future of the Lakers.

Meanwhile, the Suns getting Noel and Williams also balances out its roster and strengthens its bench.

Phoenix already has the starting backcourt tandem of Eric Bledsoe and Devin Booker. Williams is considered as the better backup guard than Knight as the former NBA Sixth Man of the Year awardee has proven time and again that he is thriving in that role.

Noel provides the energy and interior defense that the Suns needs from its frontcourt.
