World famous Chinese spiker Zhu Ting helped Vakifbank volleyball squad to register its first win at the ongoing Turkish Women Volleyball League - Vestel Venus Sultans League on Sunday after sweeping the host team of Seramiksan with a convincing 3-0 victory in Manisa, Turkey.

Zhu, who signed a contract with the Turkish volleyball club in April this year, finished the game with 11 points, while her Serbian teammate Milan Rasic had 12 points.
"Home fans gave us a little bit of pressure," the 21-year-old native of Henan Province told Xinhua. "I felt the passion of Turkish league and noticed the way home fans cheer up their team."
Zhu's Vakifbank , which is one of the league title favorites, will be playing the Galatasaray club of Istanbul on Nov. 2.
Zhu is a highly decorated volleyball player. She had been the top player in many tournaments she participated in.
Aside from being named MVP in the recently-concluded 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Zhu also won the highest individual honors in the Asian and World Junior Championship in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
In 2015, the 6-foot-6-inch tall Chinese volleyball star also claimed the MVP title in the FIVB World Cup and Asian Championship.
With Zhu playing superb volleyball, China won the gold medal in Rio upon beating the national squad of Serbia in the quadrennial event's final round last August. She capped her Rio job with 25 points as the main Chinese weapon in the championship round as the Asian volleyball powerhouse recaptured the prestigious Olympic title once again after 12 years.
