After six straight games of winning, the league's only undefeated ballclub Cleveland Cavaliers suffered its first downfall against a team that they usually dominated during the past seasons.
The NBA's defending champions snapped their six-game winning streak following a 110-106 loss to Atlanta Hawks, the team that the Cavaliers have beaten in past 11 consecutive outings and swept in two successive playoff matchups in the last two season, on Tuesday night at the Quicken Loans Arena.

"They've dominated the Eastern Conference for a long time now," Atlanta's starting guard Kent Bazemore, who scored 25 points including four connections from the three-point range, said.
"They're definitely the measuring stick, and we passed our first test tonight," he added.
Basing from the game's box score in the official website of the NBA, the Cavaliers went 37 for 99 from the field for a disappointing 37.4 percent shooting clip. Cleveland also performed poorly in making their treys fall as the Wine and Gold only connected 11 of the team's 42 attempts from beyond the arc for a frustrating 26.2 percent shooting accuracy.
Superstars Kyrie Irving and LeBron James finished the game with 29 points and 23 points, respectively, for the Cavaliers, who will be looking to immediately bounce back when they play Washington Wizards on Friday. Kevin Love had 24 markers and 12 boards for the losing side.
According to USA Today, the Hawks led by 18 points in the third period before the Cavaliers cut the deficit within two. Atlanta managed to re-establish another 15-point advantage early in the fourth, but Cleveland rallied and got within two with just 25 seconds remaining in the game clock.
However, the Antony Ressler-owned NBA team converted clutch shots as the time wind down. Bazemore nailed in a jump shot to give Atlanta a two-possession advantage over the Cavaliers 110-106 and hand the host team's first loss of the season with 06.8 ticks to go.
