Barely six months after Shanghai Disneyland began operations, a new project based on the movie "Toy Story" is currently underway.
The project, which is themed "the resort's 7th themed land," will be part of the almost 1,000 acres Shanghai Disney Resort, which estimated to be worth $5.5 billion. The project will be completed in 2018.

The groundbreaking of the project occurred last week and was attended by officials from Walt Disney Co. and Shanghai Shendi Group.
The Chairman of Walt Disney Park and Resort, Bob Chapek, explained that since the Shanghai Disney Resort began operations in June this year, the results have without a doubt been positive adding that there is a bright future in China.
"We are demonstrating our confidence by breaking ground on a new Toy Story Land that will be both authentically Disney and distinctively Chinese," he said.
The main aim of the resort is to make gamers feel as though they have been reduced to the size of a "Toy Story" character in the movies. Visitors to he place will enter through the backyard of the character Andy from the movie.
Shanghai Disneyland officials have declined to shed light on the cost or size of the land for the project. However, it was revealed that the new attraction would be located in the northwest part of the Park between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland and it will include three attractions.
Impressed by Shanghai Disneyland's feedback and operations, the Chairman of Shanghai Shendi Group, Fan Xiping, said that the company's plans look promising
"Since its opening in June this year, Shanghai Disneyland's operations has run smoothly and our guests have been very enthusiastic," he said. "We have received positive feedback from the society, all of which makes us excited about the future."
