Beijing Ducks Top Tianjin Gold Lions to Extend Winning Streak in the Chinese Basketball Association

After dropping their opening game last month, the surging Beijing Ducks is now on a four-game winning streak.
The Ducks claimed their fourth-straight victory of the season after losing their first game to the Xinjiang Flying Tigers. They defeated Tianjin Gold Lions with 114-109 on Friday in the fifth round of the 22nd season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

According to EuroBasket, former NBA All-Star Stephon Marbury finished the game with a double-double game production of 31 points and 10 assists along with four rebounds and two steals. The Duck's import went on an impressive 12 for 16 shooting from the field in 40 minutes of playing time to lead Beijing to snap the three-game winning streak of the opposing squad.
Local players Zhe Ji and Yue Sun contributed 23 points and 21 points respectively while American import Randolp Morris added 14 for the winners, who move the ball better with a team combined 23 assists during the game.
The Ducks will be playing the Shanxi Brave Dragons in the sixth round of the competition. Shanxi is currently ranked 13th in the 20-team league with two wins and three losses.
According to NowGoal, Beijing staged an early 30-15 run during the opening period and capped the first half of the game leading by 16 points 59-43. Tianjin tried to make a comeback in the third period and reduced the gap by 12 points 86-74.
The Ducks, who made 13 three-pointers during the match, were outscored by the Golden Lions in the final twelve minutes of the game after a 35-28 fourth quarter run by the Tianjin squad, but it was not enough to steal the victory from the Beijing club.
American import Jeremy Tyler paced Tianjin with game-high 41 points and 11 rebounds while Eugene Jeter had 20 markers and five assists.
