Portland Trail Blazers' wingman Evan Turner could reportedly demand a trade after a "rough start" to the season which saw a significant decrease in his ball touches playing alongside high-scoring guards Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum.

CSN Mid-Atlantic reported that "these are frustrating times" for Turner as he is having a rough start to the season in Portland after reaching an agreement with the Blazers for a four-year, $70 million deal in July.

The former Ohio State standout, who turned 28 last month, is currently averaging 6.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in only 24.1 minutes per games in 11 games so far this season. This is notably lower than the 10.5 points, 4.9 boards, and 4.4 assists in 28.0 minutes averages he had with the Boston Celtics last season.

The main reason for his decline in productivity is his role with the Blazers as a backup to the backcourt duo of Lillard and McCollum.

Turner was supposed to become the team's starting small forward when he was acquired in the summer, but he has so far become a backup small forward to Maurice Harkless.

"What can you possibly do?" said Turner. "When you get three shots and play 27 minutes... that's not a knock, because we have the best guards in the league, but I mean, what can I possibly do besides be accountable to defense, take care of the ball, rebound and play the floor? Where I just came from, I had the ball in my hands tons of times to make plays."

Turner was referring to his days in Boston where he was more involved in the offense and his new role with in Portland right now.

There are rumors that he could eventually demand a trade if his playing opportunities sink further in the future.

Sportsrageous recently linked Turner to the Kings, saying that he could be part of a package to be sent by Portland to Sacramento for their All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins.
