Beijing Ducks Rout Beikong Fly Dragons in the Seventh Round of the Chinese Basketball Association

The Beijing Ducks immediately bounced back from a recent loss against the Jamaal Franklin-led Shanxi Brave Dragons in the last round in the expense of the 15th-ranked Beikong Fly Dragons with a 113-95 victory in the seventh round of the 22nd season of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Wednesday evening.

According to EuroBasket, veteran American center Randolph Morris had a team-high 28 points to lead the LuLei Min-headed squad to its fifth victory of the season. The former New York Knicks player went 10 for 17 from the field and made eight of his nine free throw shots while playing for 37 minutes on the hardwood.

Chinese forward Yue Sun finished the match with a double-double game production of 10 points and 10 rebounds to go along with seven assists, one steal, and one blocked shot, while teammates Xiaochuan Zhai and Yanxi Zhu contributed with a combined 31 points for the Ducks, who outplayed their opposing team with a team combined 23 assists compared with Beikong's seven.

With the victory, the Ducks improved to a better 5-2 win-loss record and currently ranks No. 5 in the 20-team Chinese league. The Fly Dragons on the other hand fells to 2-5 win-loss record.

Basing from the game result of the SofaScore, Beijing kicked off the opening period with a strong start capping the first quarter of the game with a seven-point advantage 22-15. The Ducks continued to pound the opposing side with another 30-24 charge in the second period to end the first half leading by 13 points 52-39.

The winning team managed to protect their double-digit lead and go on with a 34-32 run during the third quarter to further extend their advantage to 15 points 86-71 going in to the final twelve minutes of the game.

The Ducks, who forced the Fly Dragons to commit 14 turnovers, went on with the victory following another 27-24 run during the final period of the match.
