Alcatel POP 7 LTE Tablet hits at Telus Stores

Chinese tech giant Alcatel has announced that its newest tablet device - the Alcatel POP 7 LTE - is now available at Telus at $0 down payment on a two-year contract or equivalent to $150 outright. It was notable that the tablet was also launched in partnership with Virgin and Bell in late September this year.

The Alcatel POP LTE tablet features a massive 7.0-inch five touch point display screen flaunting 600 x 1024 pixels resolution and has a pixel density of 170 ppi. Under the hood, the handheld device is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, which is paired with 1GB of RAM onboard and Adreno 304 GPU for the graphics. It comes equipped with an internal memory storage of 8GB ROM, which can be further expandable up to 64GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

On the photography side, the Alcatel POP 7 LTE tablet sports a 5-megapixel primary camera with geo tagging and high dynamic range mode (HDR) support. On the front is a 2-megapixel shooter that can capture video recording resolution of up to 720p. The tablet runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), operating system out of the box, along with Alcatel's latest customized user interface laid on top. It is backed by a 3,240mAh capacity battery inside.

Other features the Alcatel POP 7 tablet offers include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with A-GPS, MicroUSB 2.0, Tethering, Computer sync, OTA sync, Accelerometer sensor, and 4G LTE Cat 4 network support. The device measures a body dimension of 192 x 107.4 x 9.55 mm and weighs around 298 grams.
