China has set out a whole new peak of anti-smog initiatives with new rules and regulations in place.
According to the Daily Caller, the government has introduced new laws that are set to govern the citizens and motorists. In Shijiazhuang city, Hebei province, for example, car owners with only specific number plates will be allowed to operate daily.

From February next year, vehicles, which are considered to aid pollution, will no longer be allowed to be driven either within Beijing or its neighboring regions, according to a Monday report by the City's environmental protection Bureau.
"As of February vehicles which don't meet the government's current standard of emissions (older than 10 years) will be banned in Beijing whenever orange or red alerts are issued," the report read.
The also report stated that the new law was to take effect in Beijing, Hebei province, and the city of Tianjin. The report also added that prohibited vehicles will be penalized 100 yuan ($14.50) for every four hours they are found on the road.
Meanwhile, a report by Xinhua also indicated a number of major factories that have been closed down in the province of Hebei in the fight against pollution in the region. This included steel, cement and glass factories.
Last month, the cabinet agreed to set up "the strictest environmental protection system" that would be in-charge of maintaining a friendly and healthy environment. Some of the activities to be closely monitored include outdoor activities such as barbecues and construction sites.
The initiative comes as a great number of the Northern cities have been on high notice for the massive smog. This, the government says, is a great health hazard to its residents.
