Asus officially announced that its latest device - the Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphone - will no longer be coming to Canada. This information was confirmed by the company's official representative via an exclusive interview with MobileSyrup.com.

It was notable that Asus had recently stated that the Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphone would make its way to Canada in early November this year for the price of $669 via Canada Computers, Best Buy, NCIX, Newegg.ca, Memory Express, and Staples. However, Asus confirmed today that the device will no longer be available in the country. It is unclear why the company has decided not to release the device in Canada.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphone features a 5.7-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) Super AMOLED display screen protected by the fourth generation Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood, the device is powered by Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at a speed of 2.15GHz, which is paired with Adreno 530 GPU. It has a massive 6GB of RAM onboard and 64GB of internal memory storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card slot.

On the camera side, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe sports a 23-megapixel Sony IMX318 rear-facing shooter and an 8-megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 lens. The device runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) operating system out of the box, along with Asus ZenUI 3.0 user interface laid on top. It is fueled by a non-removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh capacity battery.

Other features the device offers include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, Dual-SIM support, and 4G LTE network support. The device has body dimensions of 156.4 x 77.4 x 7.5 mm and weighs around 170 grams.
