Tech giant Google has officially released the second and final preview build of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. This build will be rolled out to select Pixel and Nexus phones and tablets on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Android 7.1.1 Nougat will be the last version of the update before Google officially rolls out the update to older hardware. Google plans to release Android Nougat to older smartphone models by December.

Like the previous iterations of the preview build, the new one will support Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, and the Pixel C tablet. Owners of the mentioned devices can join the beta program and download the over-the-air updates, according to Digital Trends. The final version of the build brings support for the Nexus 6 and the Nexus Player set-top-box.

According to Ars Technica, no major feature was added into the new beta build. Instead, the update focuses towards developers who are working and preparing their apps to support the new version of Nougat. The Android Studio 2.2.2 added support for the new API level 25. An update for the Android emulator images, which is integrated with the developer tools, was also added.

It is important to note that while Android 7.1 Nougat is slated to roll out to older Android phones, not all of the platform's features, which are available for Pixel-brand phones, will be added. One major feature that will not make their way into older Android phones is the Google Assistant or the Pixel Launcher.

Older Android smartphones will not be able to support Google Daydream VR. Google has already confirmed this when it launched the platform.
