Originally, the headset is available in gray color option with a name of Slate. The two additional color variants are white and deep red with names Snow and Crimson, respectively. Both the Snow and Crimson variants of Daydream View have a price tag of $79, and interested buyers can pre-order at the Google Store. Both the Snow and Crimson headsets are expected to be shipped by Dec. 8.

The headset is compatible with Pixel, Pixel XL, Moto Z, or Moto Z Force. All three Daydream View virtual reality headsets come with a wireless controller for easier navigation while in VR mode and a wrist strap for the controller; however, there is no USB-C cable to charge the controller. It comes with a touch-sensitive remote control, which can be used in various ways in the games.

Google claims that the Daydream View is 30 percent lighter than other smartphone-powered VR headsets. It switches to VR mode right away when the latch is opened and a Daydream-compatible device is inserted.

Google Daydream View VR headset offers apps and game since it was first launched in November. In addition, HBO is working on the VR app, letting the Go subscribers watch movies and TV shows when wearing the headset. Users can also see landmarks in Google Street View as well as YouTube VR offerings.
