Xinjiang Flying Tigers Notch its 10th Win of the Season in the 13th Round of the Chinese Basketball Association

After suffering their third loss of the season in the hands of the Shanghai Sharks, the team of Xinjiang Flying Tigers immediately bounced back and defeated Fujian Sturgeons with a 114-103 victory in the 13th round of the 22nd season of the Chinese Basketball Association.

According to EuroBasket, foreign reinforcement Darius Adams led the Flying Tigers by scoring game-high 38 points to go along with seven assists, five rebounds, and five steals. The former Spanish League top scorer went 10 for 16 from the two-point range and connected five of his 10 three-point attempts while playing for 39 minutes.
Veteran Chinese forward Gen Li added with 29 markers, while NBA recruit Qi Zhou had a double-double production of 12 points and 10 boards for the Quiping Liu-headed basketball club.
Former NBA player JJ Hickson paced Fujian with 34 points and 17 rebounds. It was the 10th loss in 13 games played of the Sturgeons this season.
With the victory, Xinjiang registered their 10th win of the season in 13 matches contested. They will play the reigning CBA champions Sichuan Blue Whales, who currently ranks 10th in the 20-team Chinese league, in the next round.
Basing from the NowGoal's match result, the Flying Tiger dominated in the first 12 minutes of the game with a 36-21 first quarter run. However, Fujian was able to regroup in the second quarter and fought back with a 35-21 charge to close the gap to just a single point 57-56 at the half.
In the third period, the Sturgeons, who outrebounded the Flying Tigers with a 52-36 advantage, continued to ride on the game momentum and ended the third frame leading by three points, 86-83 going in to the final quarter of the match.
In the fourth quarter, the Flying Tiger were able to regain its offensive rhythm and staged a remarkable 31-17 run to finally seal the game with another victory.
